Terms and Conditions – K9 & Mo’s Dog Grooming Worthing
By booking an appointment with K9 & Mo’s Dog Grooming Worthing, you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the care of your pet and our business operations.
1. Cancellations & No-Shows
Notice: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.
Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, a fee of 50% of the groom price will be charged.
No-Shows: If you miss your appointment without any notice, the full (100%) price of the service must be paid before any future bookings can be made.
Late Arrivals: If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to groom your dog, and the cancellation fee will apply.
2. Dog Health & Welfare
Medical Conditions: Owners must disclose any heart conditions, epilepsy, allergies, or recent surgeries before the appointment.
Vaccinations: All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations and general health treatments.
Fleas: If fleas are found, your dog will be washed in flea shampoo and the salon will be deep-cleaned. An additional charge of £15 will be added to your bill to cover these costs.
3. De-Matting Policy
In compliance with the Animal Welfare Act (2006), we will not subject any dog to painful or prolonged de-matting.
If your dog is severely matted, the coat will be clipped short for the dog's comfort and safety.
Additional Fees: An extra charge may be applied for matted coats due to the extra time and wear on grooming equipment.
4. Behaviour & Safety
Aggression: Owners MUST inform us if their dog has ever shown aggression or bitten a person/groomer.
Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to stop a groom if a dog becomes dangerously aggressive or overly stressed. In these cases, the full price of the groom remains payable.
5. Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately.
If you are unreachable, you authorise K9 & Mo’s Dog Grooming to seek veterinary attention. All costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.
6. Collection
We are a one-on-one grooming salon and do not have the facilities to board dogs.
Please collect your pet at the agreed time. Late collections (over 30 minutes) may incur a "sitting fee" of £5 per 15 minutes.
7. Photos & Social Media
We may take photos of your dog for our website or social media. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to share your dog’s photo.
8. Satisfaction
If you are not happy with the groom, please notify us within 24 hours. We will gladly make minor adjustments. We do not offer refunds for completed services.
